My 2nd/3rd Shooter

Well, the last few weddings I decided to do something a little different. Tyler is usually my one and only 2nd shooter but it doesn't always work out so perfect. So in those situations we have this lovely lady help us out here and there and I couldn't be more thankful. I think being pregnant has played apart, as well as Tyler DJing along side shooting a wedding played a big part in our decision to bring in another photographer. Chelsea Wright is Tyler's cousin and she has grow so dear to me. One thing I love about Chels is her eye! (Yes she has gorgeous blue eyes but thats not my point) She sees angles and situation differently than I do and it has proven to be such a huge asset to each wedding. And she was a huge help at the Halcomb wedding when my feet started to swell and my back needed a break. She has helped us shoot 2 weddings and here is were you can find some of her stuff.

A little more about her...

She goes to school at Watkins College of Art, Design & Film. She is studying photography and is just one heck of an artist over all. Here is a fun fact about Chels... she ride motocross bikes competively! Crazy right?!
But she is great! Originally Chels wanted to get into wedding photography but since school and taking a step back to really think about what she wants to do with her life she has a great vision for a huge opportunity. She wants to design, photograph, create, and produce the first women's "extreme sports" magazine. I could be missing some of the detail but over all she is breaking new ground in her sport and media coverage of her sport among other sports that aren't getting that much attention.

Anyway... here is some of her shots from the most recent wedding... Halcomb Wedding

There were many more but this is just a glimpse! Love ya Chelsea and thanks so much for all your help!

Work = FUN!

Here we are doing our thing at the Berger Wedding. Such a blast! It was raining that day so we had to shoot everything under cover. But if you look closely you can see that my shoes are drenched. While they all stayed under the cover we were in the mud. Tyler held an umbrella over me and I shot as quick as I could.

This is just the girlies getting ready. I love that from the beginning
of the day we are all just hanging out on YOUR WEDDING DAY!

Look at my man getting his shot! I love working man!

Tyler is also a DJ. He did all the music for the wedding day.
This is only half of his set up because the Berger wedding
was more of a jazz and laid back feel. No disco ball needed.

Hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse of us on a wedding day. More posts of us working in the future.

Work Work Work... FUN!

So we have a destination wedding this weekend! No, it's not in FL or on some exotic island but the exciting Gatlinburg, TN. We are pretty excited about it. Its going to be a whole lot of work because we are photographing the wedding but we are also DJing the reception.
Now you may be wondering at this point "what?!? DJing?" Since high school, Tyler starting to DJing all the dancing and then he just started his own business called Dominion Entertainment. So because we are both in the "wedding business", there are many weddings that we are both doing our thing. Luckily he can still be my second shooter for most of the wedding until the reception begins.
So this week, I start to get fired up. I start to have dream about poses and I spend plenty of time to looking at other photographers (2 of my favorites: Jasmine Star & Jamie Delanie) They give me great inspiration! I also will charge all of our equipment-> 2 camera, flash batteries, and our lap top. I also clean all of our lenses really well. Then I sit down and really pick out some specific poses that Im going to want to do for the day. This is when I start to feel the creative juices flowing!
Photo's to come...

But for now here are some pics of Tyler and I at work!

We Love our job!
I love seeing him work... he is so cute!

Have a great week!
