My 2nd/3rd Shooter

Well, the last few weddings I decided to do something a little different. Tyler is usually my one and only 2nd shooter but it doesn't always work out so perfect. So in those situations we have this lovely lady help us out here and there and I couldn't be more thankful. I think being pregnant has played apart, as well as Tyler DJing along side shooting a wedding played a big part in our decision to bring in another photographer. Chelsea Wright is Tyler's cousin and she has grow so dear to me. One thing I love about Chels is her eye! (Yes she has gorgeous blue eyes but thats not my point) She sees angles and situation differently than I do and it has proven to be such a huge asset to each wedding. And she was a huge help at the Halcomb wedding when my feet started to swell and my back needed a break. She has helped us shoot 2 weddings and here is were you can find some of her stuff.

A little more about her...

She goes to school at Watkins College of Art, Design & Film. She is studying photography and is just one heck of an artist over all. Here is a fun fact about Chels... she ride motocross bikes competively! Crazy right?!
But she is great! Originally Chels wanted to get into wedding photography but since school and taking a step back to really think about what she wants to do with her life she has a great vision for a huge opportunity. She wants to design, photograph, create, and produce the first women's "extreme sports" magazine. I could be missing some of the detail but over all she is breaking new ground in her sport and media coverage of her sport among other sports that aren't getting that much attention.

Anyway... here is some of her shots from the most recent wedding... Halcomb Wedding

There were many more but this is just a glimpse! Love ya Chelsea and thanks so much for all your help!

Halcomb Wedding

So this couple is pretty special to us! We had the great privilege to have been apart of their journey together. They dated for a little while in college but felt that it was just bad timing... But we got to watch God bring these two back together after a few years and witness how perfect this timing was. God really had a great plan for their story.
Jess and I have a tickle for all things crafty and DIY while Tyler and Nathan remain the very practical engineer minded men. Jess brings out a side of Nathan that no one else can. He just lights up when he sees her.
The wedding was on the perfect fall day in October and although it looked like it would rain at any moment, it held back all day. (Which made for the perfect day to shoot... overcast!)
Thank you Nathan and Jess for allowing up to be apart of you beautiful day! We love you both!

Nathan and Jess opted for the first look... you can see there is
nothing short of pure joy in the anticipation.
Now this picture is one of my favs! I love the soft effect.
I just thought it fit their wedding style perfect. A little vintage-y.

Fabulous!
Another favorite from the day.
Does this not just make you smile with them?

These next two were pictures take after the ceremony.
They didn't want to kiss until they said "I do" so we had to sneak
out to catch a few more intimate ones.

Love this one of you Nathan!

Looking sharp guys.
Seriously... takes my breath away in every single one of these.
You are beautiful Jess!

So classy.

The ceremony was pretty dark but it made for some pretty fabulous dramatic lighting.

I cant believe I haven't mentioned that these two on one heck of a pair
when it come to dancing. They fit together perfect! So needless to say their
first dance wasn't boring. It was beautiful how they move together.

They came up with a sweet idea to throw leaves for their exit and I loved it! And so did the guests... who doesn't love throwing leaves!
Hope you enjoyed this couple as much as we do.

Love,

Richards Family

This is one heck of a family. So sweet, loving and giving. Darryl (the dad) is an elder at our church and has been a huge source of encouragement to us through some of the craziest seasons of Tyler and I's lives together. We are thankful for all the good talk and prayer that we have had with him. And Mary (the mom) is just as sweet as can be. She is one of those women you look up to and hope that one day you can be the kind of mom, women, and christian that she is. When I think about Titus2:3-4 Mary is one of those women that pop in my mind. And well their 4 children! Daniel and Josh are mostly off at college but the brief times I have gotten to know them I find them to have such a calm spirit. Anna is the youngest but is wise beyond her years. She is a joy to be around and is always seeing the bright side of the things. She always has positive and encouraging things to say and I am so thankful to see such a young gal with such a big heart. Oh and Johnathan.... he is a goober! He has tons of personality and if I could describe his style it would consist of a rolled up pair of jeans, no shoes, and his 5th grade t-shirt. He is so fun and full of energy. Needless to say this family is a blast! So thanks Richards for letting us be apart of your lives!

Wouldn't you love for this to be your land!

This really just makes me smile!
